Lucie trained and graduated from De Montfort University, based on the Bedford Campus, in 2008. During her undergraduate studies, she was introduced to new media and technologies by Professor Helen Bailey, which inspired her to create a practice-based dissertation titled “Dance and Technology.”
She followed her passion for exploring the interrelationship between movement and technology through her postgraduate studies, an MA by Research with the title ‘Sensorial Perception: Empowering Dance Practice Embodiment through Live and Virtual Environments’ at the University of Bedfordshire (2013).
She further gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education at the University of Huddersfield (2014) and began her lecturing position as an interim programme leader at University Centre Doncaster. During her post, she was awarded an HEA Fellowship.
As Lucie’s practice and research skills and knowledge developed, she was awarded the Pathway to Excellence Scholarship to undertake a doctoral studies, practice as research PhD, which she completed in 2024 at the University of Salford.
Lucie has also earned a Dance Leaders Course certificate, awarded by The Laban Guild (2019).
